Trend Update AW 2014_15 – Denim Utility

Denim Utility

The Key direction in Menswear is still clean and modern, with a strong influence from tailoring and sportswear. One way the denim market has reacted to this position in Winter 2014 is through the trend for Work-wear and Utility. Using cleaner styling, slim straight fits, dark washes and refined high-quality detail, denim product is able to be worn more easily with non-denim pieces ensuring it justifies a place in our wardrobes for another season. Paired with this is a new love shown for indigo and indigo-like fabrications and treatments, with brands such Edwin, Scarti-Lab and Gsus finding inspiration in traditional Japanese work-wear heritage and in particular natural indigo dyed fabrics.DENIIM-Edwin-&-RRL
